Every year, Matsucon is organised by around 50 volunteers, or “vänkärit”. Volunteers carry out various tasks around the event and without them Matsucon would not be possible. Now is your chance to join this top team and get a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes at the con. It doesn't take top skills to be a vänkäri - your own enthusiasm for the event usually goes a long way!
There are many benefits to volunteering at Matsucon. You'll get a CV, work experience and, if you want, a certificate of employment. The certificate has to be requested separately, so you need to be proactive about it!

- Free admission to the event for the whole weekend
- Access to the green room, where coffee and snacks will be available throughout the event
- Event shirt

Please note that we do not offer floor accommodation.
The minimum working time for the workforce is 8 hours over the weekend and the shifts will be made with your wishes in mind as much as possible.
Some jobs have an age limit of 18 (e.g. handling money), but many jobs can be done by people under 18. For first-timers, the most suitable tasks are cleaning and coat room, but you can apply for tasks according to your own interests.
