At Matsucon, you must comply with Finnish laws. In addition to these, Matsucon has some additional guidelines:
- Real guns, even deactivated ones, as well as imitations that deceptively resemble them, are prohibited. Props made of non-hazardous materials such as plastic or cardboard are allowed. Airsoft guns are allowed, provided the barrels of the staples are blocked. A real sword must be blunt and in the con area it must be holstered at all times, except at the photo point. All weapon props must be shown immediately upon entering the event at the info desk, where they will be checked by a steward and marked with red tape.
- No intoxicants may be brought to the event. Visitors found in an intoxicated state will be removed from the event. Electric tobacco may not be used inside.
- Cosplay is optional, but wearing clothes is not. Wear an outfit that you could wear in public places. If you are in doubt about the appropriateness of your outfit, you can contact the event organisers. Please also remember to respect the other visitors with your behaviour and costume. Matsucon has the right to take action against cosplay costumes that are perceived as offensive.
- We do not tolerate harassment or bullying of any kind at the con.Matsucon has the right to remove disruptive persons from events.
- Use common sense: put your rubbish in the trash and bottles and cans in the bottle bank located in the info area. Do not obstruct the corridor and stairs by photographing or hanging around.
The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the event. In case of problems, please contact your nearest steward or info desk. You can contact the Matsucon anti-harassment contact person at the first aid post and at the info desk.
